Therapy Modalities
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Ultrasound is certainly the most widely used therapy in use for tissue repair and wound healing. Ultrasound sends sound waves into the body and produces heat (Thermal effect). In addition, a non-thermal effect has been found to play a primary role in stimulation of tissue regeneration.
Conditions we treat with Ultrasound:
- Tennis elbow
- Golfers elbow
- Sprains/strains
- Fracture repair
- Plantar fasciitis
- Meniscus injury
- Rotator cuff
IFC and TENS
TENS or transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation and IFC or Interferential current are non-invasive treatments used in the management of acute and chronic pain symptoms. During treatment, pulsed electrical current is delivered through pads on the skin. Stimulation produces varying degrees of pain relief for several conditions.
Conditions we treat with IFC and TENS:
- Muscle pain
- Low back pain
- Headaches
- Sprain/Strains
