Overview – Supination is a motion that combines rolling of the ankle outward with elevation of the medial arch of the foot. This is a natural motion that takes place when your foot leaves the ground during walking and running. When a person is standing still, the feet should exhibit a neutral position.
Oversupination is an exaggerated version of supination and is visible from the posterior, when a person is standing still. Furthermore, people with oversupination walk on the outside edge of their feet with a bowed appearance in the legs.
