Chocolate Mascarpone

Have you ever had a desert that pretended to be something it wasn’t?  It is my opinion that dessert should be something you enjoy as a special treat.  Try not to make dessert a regular event, and you can enjoy yourself guilt free!  Don’t waste your time with artificial food substitutes.  Have a real homemade dessert, and satisfy your craving.  By choosing wholesome ingredients you will avoid artificial food products, preservatives, and excessive amounts of sugar.  Warning: this dessert is meant to be an occasional indulgence (1xmonth).

Chocolate Mascarpone

500g mascarpone

1 tsp vanilla

1 tbsp cocoa

2 tbsp maple syrup

1/3 cup milk

1 handful of chopped walnuts or pecans

Easy to make!

Set the nuts aside and combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl.  Use a hand blender for best results.  If the mix is too thick add more milk.  It should resemble thick pudding.  Divide into 8-10 servings, place scoop in a dessert cup and cover with fresh berries/chopped nuts.
